Coaching
There has been an explosion of coaching, coaches and related beliefs about coaching. “Everybody needs a coach” is one oft-repeated phrase. “Everyone can coach” is another. Neither is totally accurate.
It is true, however, that coaching can be a powerful tool in the context of an overall plan to achieve organizational excellence. Coaching is most successful when an organization considers and has thoughtful answers to the following questions:
- What do we hope to achieve?
- How will Coaching help achieve our Vision, Values and/or Strategic Plan?
- Who in the organization needs or will benefit from Coaching? Why?
- What qualities, training and certifications should we expect of Coaches?
- If Coaching will be widespread, how do we establish a protocol for matching coaches and coachees?
- How will we measure success?
Some organizations are experienced with the Coaching process and are simply seeking high-quality coaches. Other organizations believe there may be value in Coaching, but do not have an experience base. In either case, Innolect Associates have the expertise and acumen to guide the process.
