Strategic Planning
A compelling Vision and
Values are foundations for the construction and add-ons to a high-performing
organization. A solid Strategic Plan is the framework that emerges
from the foundation. The keys to a successful Strategic Plan include:
- A small set of strategic statements and objectives that connect logically to the Vision and Values
- An outline of specific action steps
- Roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
- Quantitative and qualitative performance measures
- Alignment among the key players who must execute and be evaluated on the success of the strategic plan and business performance
The above is the easy part – knowing what components make up a meaningful Strategic Plan. The challenge is to use a disciplined process – with the emphasis on “process” – which aids teams in accomplishing critical planning elements:
- Capture the issues
- Predict the future environment
- Realistically assess capabilities
- Choose among possible scenarios
- Prioritize decisions
- Articulate the plan so that teams will know what to do
Innolect Associates are skilled thinkers, managers and facilitators who bring order and purpose to Strategic Planning:
